Terkis Marks 25 Years Serving Thailand's Process Industries

Where It Began

In the year 2000, Terkis Co., Ltd. was registered at a small office in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan — a strategic location adjacent to the industrial estates that were beginning to accelerate Thailand's transition to a regional petrochemical hub. The founding vision was precise: rather than becoming a general-line industrial distributor carrying thousands of catalogue items, Terkis would focus exclusively on engineered fluid-handling equipment requiring technical application knowledge to specify correctly. The first supplier partnership was with LBH International of Denmark, whose fabric expansion joints were already specified on several LNG and petrochemical projects in the region. That relationship, now in its 25th year, remains the cornerstone of our expansion joint business.

Building the Technical Team

The most significant investment Terkis has made over 25 years is in people. Our current team includes mechanical and chemical engineers with specialisations in rotating equipment, piping systems, fire and explosion protection, and power generation. Several of our engineers carry international certifications — including API Inspector qualifications and HAZOP facilitation training — enabling us to participate in engineering reviews at the design stage rather than simply fulfilling purchase orders. This technical depth is what differentiates Terkis: when a client's process engineer calls with a challenging application, our team can engage at the engineering level, not just the commercial level.

The Portfolio Today

The Terkis product portfolio in 2025 covers five primary categories. In pumps: the complete PHOENIX AODD range, HELIOS peristaltic pumps, COMPASS centrifugal pumps, and NEPTUNE drum transfer pumps. In valves: Max-Seal automated process valves and Elmac Technologies safety valves and flame arresters. In piping: LBH International expansion joints in fabric, rubber, elastomer, and metal designs. In cables: Master Tec Wire & Cable power, control, instrumentation, and fire-resistant cables. And in pulsation control: the DAMPER dampener range.

The Next 25 Years

Thailand's industrial landscape is changing. The Eastern Economic Corridor brings new investment in high-value manufacturing, green hydrogen production, and carbon capture pilots. The transition of legacy petrochemical facilities toward lower-carbon operations creates demand for equipment that handles new fluid chemistries — amines for CO2 absorption, hydrogen at high pressure, and bio-based feedstocks with unfamiliar material compatibility profiles. Terkis is actively evaluating additional supplier partnerships to address these emerging requirements. We are committed to remaining a company where engineers talk to engineers.
