Terkis at Thailand Industrial Fair 2025: Booth Report and Key Takeaways

The Terkis engineering team exhibited at Thailand Industrial Fair 2025 at BITEC, Bangkok — showcasing live pump demonstrations, expansion joint cutaway models, and the new Elmac flame arrester product line to over 400 qualified visitors across three days.

Three Days, 400 Engineers

Thailand Industrial Fair, held annually at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), is the country's primary gathering point for process industry procurement professionals. Terkis has exhibited at TIF for eleven consecutive years, and the 2025 edition saw our strongest visitor engagement to date — over 400 qualified contacts logged across the three-day event, with 67 active technical enquiries generated for our commercial team to follow up. The booth this year was structured around live demonstration rather than static display.

A working PHOENIX 2" AODD pump circulated water with 10% silica sand suspension through a transparent pipe loop, demonstrating solids-handling capability to visitors who could observe the flow in real time. Seeing a pump handle abrasive slurry without hesitation answers questions that no datasheet can. This single demonstration generated 23 of the 67 follow-up enquiries logged at the event.

Expansion Joint Cutaway Display

A new feature this year was a sectioned cutaway display of LBH International expansion joints showing the internal construction of fabric, rubber, and metal designs side by side. This educational display addressed a persistent misconception in the Thai market: that all expansion joints are functionally equivalent and price is the only differentiator. The internal construction differences — PTFE liner integrity, flange bolting pattern, reinforcement layer design — are invisible from the outside but determine service life and safety margin in high-temperature or chemically aggressive service.

Key Market Trends Observed

Conversations at the fair confirmed several trends our team has been tracking. Demand for food-grade and pharmaceutical-grade pump equipment is growing strongly, driven by Thailand's ambition to become a regional food processing hub. Enquiries for hydrogen-compatible equipment — valves, expansion joints, and arresters rated for Group IIC gas classification — increased noticeably compared to 2024. And there is increasing sophistication in procurement: more clients are arriving with detailed technical specifications rather than generic requests, reflecting an improvement in in-house engineering capability across the sector.

Terkis will next exhibit at the Maintenance Thailand trade fair in August 2025. If you have enquiries arising from any of the products featured at Thailand Industrial Fair, our technical team is available immediately. Reach out through our website contact form or call our Samut Prakan office directly.
